Design Your Hood: Fulton Street Mall

On view June 10 - July 30
This exhibition tells the story-past, present and future-of the Fulton Street Mall, through the eyes of New York City high school students. All students who participated in City of Neighborhoods, a signature education program of the CooperHewitt, National Design Museum Smithsonian Institution, spent eight weeks researching, understanding and reenvisioning Fulton Street using the design process as a guide. The result of these afterschool workshops- postcards, sketches, sensory maps,'zines and models-will be displayed along with historical maps and photographs from the Brooklyn Historical Society's collection.
