Reproduction Fee Schedule
Thank you for your interest in an image or audio reproduction from the Brooklyn Historical Society. Our fees are listed below, but please note the two types of fees: one for the reproduction service; one for the usage. A usage fee applies to anyone wishing to publish images supplied by the Brooklyn Historical Society.  Uses deemed “personal” require only a reproduction fee and not a usage fee.  Examples include personal research or for the purpose of decoration in one’s home. As per the Rights and Reproduction Policy, BHS does not own the intellectual rights to all items in the collection. All uses and fees assessed will be determined by the Collection Staff.

Please fill out the application form and send it via email, fax, or post. Upon receiving the request, BHS will email an invoice for the total cost. Notification of reproduction denial due to copyright status will be described when applicable.

Rush orders
Any request for order fulfillment sooner than 3 weeks is considered a rush order.  Please add 50% to the total cost of the request.

Volume discounts:
This applies to usage fees only.
20-49 images: 10% discount; 50-99 images: 20% discount; 100 images or more: 30% discount.

Reproduction fees:

All requests for digital files are delivered via FTP to applicant’s email address.

Usage fees:

* Rates may be higher for book covers, large publication runs, and films.
