The Brooklyn Real Estate Roundtable is a unique opportunity for Brooklyn real estate professionals to come together on a quarterly basis to discuss the most important issues in Brooklyn real estate.

The past decade of Brooklyn development has been extraordinary as we’ve witnessed the dramatically changing landscape of a borough—where building permits and new construction activity now exceed Manhattan.

The series is dedicated to involving all the participants of Brooklyn real estate in conversation about the industry. Whether the subject is construction costs, rezoning proposals, property taxes, neighborhoods in transition, sales prices, cap rates, non-profit sales and uses, unions or designs and finishes, the Roundtable will be an opportunity for substantive exploration of the issues and a chance to meet the individuals at the center of these issues.

After these conversations, the Roundtable will feature its Neighborhood Snapshots, which will provide up-to-date sales and rental data on a few specific projects.

In future Roundtables, we will be talking about everything from Coney Island to Downtown Brooklyn, from the Williamsburg waterfront to Red Hook, from affordable housing to Richard Meier condos, and from two family row houses to 40 story Flatbush towers. The Brooklyn Historical Society is excited to serve as a host for the real estate industry’s conversation.
