Member Benefits (Valid for one year)

Individual ($50)

• Benefits apply to one adult
• Unlimited complimentary admission to the museum's galleries and Othmer Library
• Quarterly newsletter and calendar
• Discounted admission to all Walks & Talks, lectures, workshops and family programs
• Invitations to members-only previews and holiday parties
• Discounts on BHS publications
• 100% is tax-deductible

Senior/Student ($35)

• Benefits apply to one adult
• All the benefits of Individual Membership at a discount for people 65 years of age and over and for full-time students at an accredited college or university (copy of current ID or dated bursar's receipt must be submitted for students)
• 100% is tax-deductible

Dual/Family ($70)

• All the benefits of Individual Membership for two adults and all children up to age 18 living in the same household
• 100% is tax deductible

Senior Family ($60)

• All the benefits of Individual Membesrhip for two seniors plus free admission for all grandchildren under age 18 when accompanied byone or both Senior Family members
• 100% tax-deductible

Friend ($125)

• All the benefits of Dual/Family Membership for two adults in the same household and children
• Two free guest admissions per visit
• Brooklyn Historical Society signature gift
• $100 is tax deductible

Patron ($275)

• All the benefits of Friend Membership, plus:
• Complimentary admission to evening programs for up to five guests
• Opportunity to rent BHS for a special event (Restrictions apply)
• A set of notecards featuring images from the Brooklyn Historical Society's collection
• $235 is tax deductible

Benefactor ($550)

• All the benefits of Patron Membership plus:
• Two special preview receptions and private tours with curators and invited experts
• A complimentary copy of a featured book from the BHS Gift Shop
• Free catalogue or publication
• $440 is tax-deductible

President’s Circle ($1,250 and above)

The President’s Circle gratefully acknowledges individuals and families making tax-deductible gifts at leadership levels. Membership brings with it a year of associated benefits at the Benefactor level, plus:

• Free admission for all guests to exhibits and programs, when accompanied by a member
• Discounts at a nearby parking facility during your visit to BHS
• Discounts on BHS facility rentals
• Complimentary 8 x 10-inch print of your choice, suitable for framing, from our extensive collection of images
• Annual reception with the President and other Circle members
• All but $125 of your gift is tax-deductible
