After School

Our after-school programs position students as authors of their own history.

Students draw inspiration from primary source materials and our unique collection to create exhibitions or publish books on topics in local history.

Teen Council

The Teen Council is our paid internship program for high school students. They curate an exhibition for BHS’s landmark building over the course of the spring semester.

Young Curators & Scholars

Students become authors of their own history in these afterschool programs offered in partnership with elementary, middle, and high schools.

Teen Innovators

A National Arts and Humanities award-winning after-school program held at BLDG 92 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this yearlong after-school and internship program explores careers, workplace etiquette, professional writing and communication, and the history of work and workers at the yard over the past century.
