Muslims in Brooklyn Dance Party

Overview

To close out the year, the Muslims in Brooklyn project hosts a dance party!

Part dance performance, part workshop, this event highlights the intersections of Muslim communities, the art of expressive dance, popular culture, music, and more! Join us for demonstrations from Freedom Dabka Group, the Bangladeshi Institute of Performing Arts, and legendary b-boy Jorge “Popmaster Fabel” Pabon. You may even learn a step or two yourself. Come ready to move!

Presented in connection with the Muslims in Brooklyn project.
